Funny days are those where seemingly everything goes wrong... yesterday was such a day:
First thing that happened was that my newly bought sunglasses - which I had to wait over 6 weeks to be manufactured - came and ... guess what, where assembled wrong, with the effect that I see worse with glasses than without. So they went back to be fixed... which means another 6 weeks in the least to wait. To put it in a nutshell - I payed 350 Euro for sunglasses about 6 weeks ago and will hopefully see them in another 6 weeks from now... great thing.
Second thing that happened yesterday was at a councelling talk I hat at my bank. i was asking for a way to invest some money to get some interest out of it more then if it would just sit on a bankbook. So I asked what possible ways there were to invest a small regular amount where I might need daily possibility to get all the money or part of it. He elaborated about his and that and about a lot more and the sum of al his bla bla was that the maximum of interest I could gain was about 2,7%. A little disappointed I resigned and - because beeing there - I just for pure coincidence asked what the interest on my instant access saving account was.... 3,6 %. What... did that guy want to kid me? Well... feeling pretty much pawned by that guy I just opened another instant access saving account for 3,6% and left.
Thrid thing that really pissed me off yesterday was that peculiar thing with my car... read my last entry for details. I won't go into it here.
Fourth, but not last was when I went shopping with Tillikum at the Aldi market nearby.. when it was out turn at the cashpoint, he put his ec-card into the slot and the cash system just hung up.... not responding to a speechless cashiers more and more puzzled looking keystrokes the cashsystem just went blank. Apologizingly asking us to go to the next lane we swapped cash points... arriving there - guess what - inserting the ec-card had the exact same effect on the system too... and so on... you get the idea ( finally we paied with coins )
And fifth and last of the day we went to cinema...
If you realy want to see a fucked up cinema, visit the Turmpalast in Frankfurt. This sadly calles itself a cinema and the husky was surprised how bad it was... even after I told him so. Picture smaller then my home sinema screen, Stereo sound with lots of cracking and noises all the time and brownout humming. The curain didnt open all the way, which meant the film was half on the curtain. Chairs we were sitting in were eigther broken, completely missing or total wracks. No light - not even the emergency lighting in the room and the projectoer needed about 3 tries to start during the film, making it impossible to watch the beginning of the film... it simply stopped a few times during show. Not ot mention the quality of the film material... yellow, greenish stripes all the while and fingerprints on the cells, as well as more dust then film on the film made this movie a nearly hilarious trashy experience... When we left, we also saw that on the wall were ( in previously fill darness ) near the legspace of the last row open power plugs with outsticking wires there...
Oh, Tillikum owns a Hackers Card to shutdown cash systems? Sounds like the perfect tool to make a rl DOS with hihi
This "cinema" probably should make mystery / horror / war movies their primary genres, having a fitting atmosphere.
Btw, I'm logged in to your diary (at least I guess so? It doesn't say this, but when I click on "Administration" it tells me I'm logged in) but my Name/homepage/etc is not filled in automatically. Strange.
Ya, well. This cinema realy is crude. I wonder when they will tear it down finaly. The problem with this is, thet there is a whole cinema for original version films, so no good multiplex cinema will show original versions and so there is no other chance to watch them.
As for the logged in - auto fill in - I have no clue, why it does not automatically inserts your data. It sure knows, you are a trusted user - that's why it doesn't show the captcha test, but for some reason, it doesn't fill in your fields. Might have to take a deep look into it some time. Thanks for noting.
Oh yes, it was hell of a day. All traffic lights red, only stress at work and then we crashed the point-of-sale. Whohoo :/ hugs you I'm sorry to hear that about your car.
Hmm, i think i should try my ec-card at another aldi market, maybe it will really happen again. This would be fun...errr strange.
The Cinema was really, really, really bad. Wow i have never imagined such places exist.
When Fin told me that ist was such bad i thought "Ok, maybe dirty seats, not the best audio system, a small screen and maybe some problems with the projector but WOW O.O
It was like i imagine a cinema in an urban city where gangs rule the city and everywhere is chaos. It is almost like that. I missed only sparks that where emerging from somewhere where the curtain was pulled together (which it does but only a few centimeters so it will stay open) and yes, there was this really annoying, yellow and green line just in the middle of the picture. And the humming nose which was sometimes interrupted by the creaking noise of the Chairs.
And yes, the power socket with the wires was hillarious.
