Funny days are those where seemingly everything goes wrong... yesterday was such a day:
First thing that happened was that my newly bought sunglasses - which I had to wait over 6 weeks to be manufactured - came and ... guess what, where assembled wrong, with the effect that I see worse with glasses than without. So they went back to be fixed... which means another 6 weeks in the least to wait. To put it in a nutshell - I payed 350 Euro for sunglasses about 6 weeks ago and will hopefully see them in another 6 weeks from now... great thing.
Second thing that happened yesterday was at a councelling talk I hat at my bank. i was asking for a way to invest some money to get some interest out of it more then if it would just sit on a bankbook. So I asked what possible ways there were to invest a small regular amount where I might need daily possibility to get all the money or part of it. He elaborated about his and that and about a lot more and the sum of al his bla bla was that the maximum of interest I could gain was about 2,7%. A little disappointed I resigned and - because beeing there - I just for pure coincidence asked what the interest on my instant access saving account was.... 3,6 %. What... did that guy want to kid me? Well... feeling pretty much pawned by that guy I just opened another instant access saving account for 3,6% and left.
Thrid thing that really pissed me off yesterday was that peculiar thing with my car... read my last entry for details. I won't go into it here.
Fourth, but not last was when I went shopping with Tillikum at the Aldi market nearby.. when it was out turn at the cashpoint, he put his ec-card into the slot and the cash system just hung up.... not responding to a speechless cashiers more and more puzzled looking keystrokes the cashsystem just went blank. Apologizingly asking us to go to the next lane we swapped cash points... arriving there - guess what - inserting the ec-card had the exact same effect on the system too... and so on... you get the idea ( finally we paied with coins )
And fifth and last of the day we went to cinema...
If you realy want to see a fucked up cinema, visit the Turmpalast in Frankfurt. This sadly calles itself a cinema and the husky was surprised how bad it was... even after I told him so. Picture smaller then my home sinema screen, Stereo sound with lots of cracking and noises all the time and brownout humming. The curain didnt open all the way, which meant the film was half on the curtain. Chairs we were sitting in were eigther broken, completely missing or total wracks. No light - not even the emergency lighting in the room and the projectoer needed about 3 tries to start during the film, making it impossible to watch the beginning of the film... it simply stopped a few times during show. Not ot mention the quality of the film material... yellow, greenish stripes all the while and fingerprints on the cells, as well as more dust then film on the film made this movie a nearly hilarious trashy experience... When we left, we also saw that on the wall were ( in previously fill darness ) near the legspace of the last row open power plugs with outsticking wires there...
Yeah, well. Yesterday I went to my local car service center for a checkup they told me to do that day ... but let me start at the beginning.
About a year ago my car started making scraping continuous noise on the front axle when driving. I - as one should do - went to by car service center the get that checked up. They told me that my wheel suspension was damaged on both sides on the front. Well - I sure told them to fix it and they did. For about over 1k Euro. After about 8 months later the noise started again - so I went back there and told them so. They listened, tested and saied - It sure is the shock absorber and I need to fix that.. so I did. For about 400 Euro... But the noise stayed. So they saied that it must be a material defect and that they will exchange the right suspension "on the house" for me. Telling me that the left did not make a noise so it probably only was the right one that has the faulty production.
Guess what... after another month or so, the left wheel started making that noise all over again. So I went back to the service station and told them so. After a length discussion and test driving and so forth they told me "it's the tyres, that make that noise"... And i need to buy a new set of tyres. They told me to drive for a month and see if the noise changes. if if should not, I should buy new tyred and the noise will be gone. So I did... but the noise did not change and I ought a new set of tyres yesterday.... and guess what. The noise didn't change a single bit.
So I went back - extremely annoyed - to the service center and told them all about it. They listened to the noise, made thoughtful faces and in the end told me its the left sides wheel suspension. So I told them all what previously had happened and that I also want the left one exchanged for free - as it surely has to be a material flaw, that a new wheel suspension breaks down after a year. But there was the clue... yesterday the date was about one year and a month later then the first exchange of both suspensions and they flatout told me that now they will not exchange it "on the house" and that I have to pay for it.
And there was no way in making them remember that it was them telling me to not let it exchange now and wait... that really pisses me off that they just plain out conned me like that. And now I am stuck there with having to pay a bill for over 400 Euro for a new wheel suspension.
Sure as hell I will not go there again.. and If anyone has some help or idea if I could sue them in a lawsuit - I am glad for help or tipps.
Having a great sunday, filling my tummy with delicios food at DaGuidos and having great fun in bowling with friends afterwards. Not only that I am absolutely miserable at bowling - I also had a great deal of fun trying to play bowling in the most hilarious ways possible...
...talking about hilarious. On the menu in the diner there at the bowlerama, we ordered "doughnuts" for 1,50 Euro.... as we thought ( by the name of that item clearly stated a plural for doughnuts not doughnut ) we ordered multiple for 1,50 Euro. Well... we thought wrong. It was a - on top still half frozen - and served on a hot plate doughnut.. a single one - melting on the bottom and cold on the top - no hanky anywhere in sight and the only thing one could eat that melting ring with was a small wodden stick... guess... no fun.
Somehow I have wrecked my filetable on my memorycard in my Orbit II. The thing, that really pisses me of is that I now have about 2700 files with the name FOUNDxxx... Yet because I had "encrypt files on memory card" enabled on my phone I can't restore those files. The filesystemdriver encrypts the files in the way that it write a keypart for encryption into the filename... so when the checkdisk process restored those files it renamed the files with sequential number, erasing the vital information of the keyparts as well.
Grumpy, pissed of dragon needs to gather all filed from old backups again and needs to reinstal most of the tools to the phone again... great. Last time I used a bad implemented and thought through so called "encryption mecanism".
