Well, I've been asked a lot lately to post more public posts in my diary. On one paw, true - I wasn't writing public posts for some time now. I rather had a lot to say about my personal life and mostly rather personal topics that are not meant for the everyone John Doe out there in the web. But then again, I hadn't hat much to talk about that was so much of general interest, that it was worth writing about in my public section. And then again - there are, as it seems some people out there who still don't have a personal login to my diary and who can only read my public posts - which I haven't made for some time now. Well, I guess I will try to write a bit more ( actually a little bit more then nothing at least ) in my public section for all those who don't have or don't want to have an account.

After having logged in, how can I tell which entries are marked as "not public"? I don't see a difference.

And even though I'm logged in - says the admin screen, "welcome back" - the fields here in this comment form aren't filled out, either.

Hi there, Anonymous.

You have registered with a name "Anonymous", so I have no idea who you are. And of course. I only grant friends and people I know access to the other "logged in" areas of my diary. You don't get access to everything just by registering an account with the name anonymous. So in your special case - you will see exactly the same as if you were not a registered user here
